The club was proud to host a special event to mark 100 years of FIDE, the international chess federation.
Grandmaster Michael Adams took on an incredible 44 boards in a simultaneous exhibition, moving from table to table to face local players of all ages and abilities.
Over 60 people attended on the night to watch and take part, making it one of the most memorable occasions in the club's history.
